白装束の参加者が松明を持ち那須温泉神社から殺生石まで行列し、大松明(御神火)へ火を放つ幻想的な神事。フィナーレは「殺生石」で、郷土芸能の「白面金毛九尾狐太鼓」が披露されます。「松明行列」は一般参加も可。
A Shinto ritual where participants in a white costume hold a torch with their hand and march from the Nasu Yuzen Jinja Shrine to the Sesshoseki and they set fire to the massive torch (Gojinka) built there. It is followed by the Nine-Tailed Fox Taiko drum performance, a local traditional performing art in front of the massive burning torch. Visitors may join the torch parade on the day (without booking).
