On June 23rd, Mr. and Mrs. Clemens von Goetze (Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Japan), Mr. and Mrs. Martin Eberts (Consulate General of Germany in Osaka-Kobe), and Mr. and Mrs. Florian Kirchner (President and CEO of Evonik Japan Co., Ltd./Nippon Aerosil Co., Ltd.) visited the Mie Governor. Nippon Aerosil has been operating in Mie Prefecture’s Yokkaichi City for more than 50 years, manufacturing special surface treatment products for a variety of applications. Governor Ichimi thanked the company for its accomplishments and expressed his hopes for its future development, and Ambassador Mr. Clemens von Goetze thanked Mie Prefecture’s support for Evonik Japan Co., Ltd./Nippon Aerosil Co., Ltd. During the exchange of opinions that followed, participants discussed carbon neutrality as Germany is an advanced country in the field of decarbonization. Mie prefecture will continue and develop its cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.
