Resoundingly, the most important characteristic is MAKA-DIYOS, being God-loving and God – Fearing. A Model Filipino should also be MATAPAT, MAGALANG, MASIPAG, MATULUNGIN, MAKABAYAN. PPCRV created 1 book for each of these characteristics, with MAKA-DIYOS prefacing each of the books. Quoting de Villa-Singson "...God cannot be contained in one book because He is the beginning and end of "all things visible and the evidence of things unseen" (Hebrews)...As such, a chapter on God and our faith prefaces each and every Tibok Pinoy book."

When all is said and done, it’s not the machines that make an election. Vote buying was highest in this election, allegedly as high as Php5,000 for the votes of a family! That’s a paradigm shift from retail vote buying to wholesale shopping and what does that tell us? It’s not the machines, it was always about us and how much or how little we value our vote. Ultimately, it is our behavior and the reasons for it that must inspire the largest scrutiny."
