This subchapter looks at CSS (cascading style sheets).
Cascading style sheets are used to set the look of a web page.
Even though CSS is not generally considered to be an actual programming language, there are two good reasons to include a discussion of CSS in a general computer programming text book.
(1) CSS has a structure similar to most mainstream programming languages, making it a good introduction to some of the mechanics of writing source code.
(2) A great deal of modern software must work on the internet (and more specifically the world wide web) and eventually the software has to produce working CSS.

Coding example: I am making heavily documented and explained open source code for a method to play music for free — almost any song, no subscription fees, no download costs, no advertisements, all completely legal. This is done by building a front-end to YouTube (which checks the copyright permissions for you).
