The root name servers are a critical part of the Internet’s infrastructure. Since 2000, Netnod has operated i.root-servers.net, the first root server to be located outside of the United States.

We started off as internet pioneers and ended up as a non profit that allowed us to focus all of our energy into building robust digital infrastructure. Our work also resulted in us developing the skills and culture to run an incident proof organisation.
