As part of the NSF grant "Algebraic Combinatorics Seminar and Miniconferences" this international conference will be held on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. It is organized by the Algebraic Combinatorics group at Colorado State University.

Scope: The goal of this conference is to bring together researchers from the field of combinatorics and researchers in algorithms, in particular those involving group actions on combinatorial objects. The ultimate goal is to enhance the mutual understanding between the fields. We wish to foster the development of software for computer classification, investigation and generation of discrete objects. The scope of applications is broadly construed, involving diverse fields such as coding theory, curves over finite fields, algebraic graph theory, algebraic combinatorics, finite geometry and design theory. Applications range from cryptography to big data to signal processing and radar.

About Fort Collins: fort_collins.jpg Fort Collins is a midsize college city, home to Colorado State University. It was named Money magazine's Best Place to Live in the U.S. in 2006, No. 2 in 2008, and No. 6 in 2010. It is also known as one of the towns that inspired the design of Main Street, U.S.A. inside the main entrance of the many 'Disneyland'-style parks run by The Walt Disney Company around the world. The city is situated at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills of the northern Front Range approximately 60 miles (97 km) north of Denver, Colorado and 45 miles (72 km) south of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Elevation is 4,982 ft (1,519 m) above sea level. Geographic landmarks include Horsetooth Reservoir and Horsetooth Mountain - so named because of a tooth-shaped granite rock that dominates the city's western skyline. Longs Peak (depicted in the photo above) can also clearly be seen on a clear day to the southwest of the city. Located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins experiences a semi-arid climate, with four distinct seasons and low annual precipitation. Summers range from mild to hot, with low humidity and occasional afternoon thunderstorms. Attractions include the Rocky Mountain National Park which is accessible from Estes Park, about one hour drive from Fort Collins. Trail Ridge Road is open during the summer and crosses the continental divide. Trail Ridge road passes through alpine flora at an elevation of over 12,000 ft (3600 m).

Conference Dinner: On the evening of July 23, we will hold the Robert A Liebler memorial dinner. Registered participants will receive one free dinner ticket each. Extra dinner tickets are available for $ 25 per person and can be ordered on the registration page.

Excursion: Our conference excursion is planned for July 22 and will take us to Lory State Park Lory State Park, located just outside of town. Lory State park has access to the foothills, and offers plenty of hiking possibilities (easy, moderate and challenging) as well as access to Horsetooth reservoir. Each participant will receive one admission ticket to the excursion. The excursion will start promply in the morning and we will be back by afternoon. Please consider the weather pattern in Colorado. Afternoon thunderstorms are very frequent in the summer. We don't want to be on the mountain during thunderstorm period.
