What is Supportive
Care in Cancer?

Supportive care in cancer is the prevention and management of the adverse effects of cancer and its treatment. This includes management of physical and psychological symptoms and side effects across the continuum of the cancer experience from diagnosis through treatment to post-treatment care.

Supportive care aims to improve the quality of rehabilitation, secondary cancer prevention, survivorship, and end-of-life care.

Interdisciplinary Supportive Care Resources

“Ask, understand: Supportive care in cancer” is an AI-powered digital platform providing accurate, reliable information on supportive care in cancer for patients, caregivers, and clinicians

The information on the platform is sourced exclusively from verified, evidence-based resources available through the MASCC website, making it a trusted source for both patients and providers.

The platform is free and accessible to everyone. Patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers can use this tool to get quick answers to questions and helpful information tailored to their needs.

This platform was developed by Make.org. The project was made possible through financial support from La Roche-Posay, which had no influence over the content.

This tool provides educational information only and is not a substitute for medical advice. Always consult your healthcare team for personal medical guidance.
