We're really sorry, but if you need rescue help, we aren't equipped to answer those questions. There are a multitude of resources out there; try searching for the breed of dog first, and then add in any health problems that the dog may have. For instance < "Australian Shepherd" rescue deaf >

We've spent a good deal of time educating ourselves about merle, but we are not geneticists. We can try to answer questions, but others may be better equipped. See our Links for More Info page for ideas.

If you feel that you must write to dispute our position on the term "lethal white," please don't. We won't respond and we certainly aren't changing our opinion (we're familiar with all the arguments). We invite everyone to continue to read, research, and study the various questions and issues involved with homozygous merles. After all, it's about helping the dogs!
