The following industries define their goals in terms of reductions of CO₂ emissions or amounts of energy consumption and do not publicly release data on input-output ratios: Flat Glass Association of Japan, Japan Federation of Housing Organizations, Japan Coal Energy Center, Japan Federation of Construction Contractors, Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, and Japan Association of Rolling Stock. Hence these industries are not included in the above list.
The Japan Machine Tool Builder's Association, the Japan Society of Industrial Machinery Manufacturers, and the Japan Bearing Industrial Association use fiscal 1997 as their base year.
