our story

Located just two blocks down from Market Square in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Jumpin' Jay's is a local foodie enclave serving refined seafood in a sleek restaurant setting. The first of many successful establishments by restaurateur Jay McSharry, Jumpin Jay's has been synonymous with "seafood" in Portsmouth since 2000. The quality of fare is unsurpassed, with fish arriving daily from local fishermen as well as some exotic catches. Our menu is a blend of our classics like the Haddock Piccata and Linguine & Clams along with some seasonally changing creative combinations by Executive Chef Andrew Swanson. The atmosphere is casually hip, with no pretense. Reservations encouraged.
