Summary:
Centralized and industrialized chemical industrial parks (CIPs) promote the economic development of the industry. The densely distributed large chemical equipment and facilities in CIPs, bring in major hazard sources highly concentrated, and may trigger high safety risks, such as fires, toxic gas leaks, and explosions. When hazardous materials are highly concentrated in a restricted area, a single risk incident may initiate a domino effect during an accident, possibly leading to severe casualties and property loss within CIPs.
The integration of metaverse technology introduces a new perspective for addressing these issues, which provides a highly immersive environment for training and drills, as well as highly interactive visualization for real-time monitoring. Leveraging the strong current capabilities of generative AI, stakeholders can quickly develop various scenarios using diverse approaches (e.g., voice and text) during emergency training and drills. This provides a truly immersive experience for training and drills, aiding in the enhancement of emergency response capabilities.
This draft Recommendation specifics requirements of metaverse-based emergency response in chemical industrial parks (CIPs), so as to mitigate the potential risks and strengthen the emergency response capability in the chemical industrial parks.
