Development of a high-resolution method for climate model simulation using machine learning
Researchers from #UTokyo_IIS have developed a high-resolution method for climate model simulation.
Researchers at The University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science have reported on the development of a high-resolution method of climate modeling using machine learning. The method was shown to be capable of reproducing the climatic characteristics of local precipitation (e.g., frequency, monthly precipitation amount, and rainfall intensity), making it possible to assess the impact of recent global warming on local precipitation.
