The American photographer John Ross who died in Oxford on December 6, 2006,
recorded in his stunningly beautiful pictures Egypt and its cultural
heritage from all periods. Some 2,500 colour transparencies have been most
generously donated to the Archive of the Griffith Institute by his wife,
Mrs Judy Ross. These pictures will gradually be published on this web
site and made available to Egyptologists as well as editors and
picture researchers (please contact griffith.institute@orinst.ox.ac.uk).
