Notes:

  • Currently planned for a Mid-October release, it's about time!

  • Tracks 1-8 are studio material, recorded at Richbitch Studios, Birmingham 1986.

  • Tracks 9-11 are live material, recorded in 1986/87.

  • Track 10 is an entire FoB show, containing the songs Empire of Lies, Whiterock-Blackdeath, Christian Motherfucker, and Ecstacy of Hate. Entitled Fight Show, due to an enormous audience fight that broke out. Also in this show, Mick Harris and Nik Bullen appear on vocals.

  • Track 11 is another complete live show, with the songs Life is Easy, Calling, and Submit-Supress. This show apparently has the band playing under the influence of pretty much everything. A segment from this show appears as the intro to Love, Hate (Slugbaiting) off of the Pure record.

  • Cleopatra Records wanted to release this (in 1997) under the lengthy title:
Fall of Because-Life is Easy 1986 [Godflesh-The Early Years]. This deal fell through, as Earache wouldn't allow the rights to the name Godflesh in the title.
