Fukushima offshore wind consortium is proceeding with Fukushima floating offshore wind farm demonstration project (Fukushima FORWARD) funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The construction of the world first floating offshore wind farm consisting of 2MW, 5MW, 7MW floating offshore wind turbines and one floating substation has completed. The project is working on the evaluation of safety, reliability and economic efficiency and the reduction of O&M cost of the floating offshore wind farm.
