Statement of Significance |
---|
Group of four Neo Classic buildings from the Victorian and Edwardian eras being strong and pleasantly scaled compositions relating to one another extremely well, buildings occupy three important corner sites about Oxford Square and consequently create street pictures in the related thoroughfares of great charm and interest. The shopfront of Zink and Sons is a particularly fine example of a 1930s modern design, still in original condition. (The Commission is in the process of developing and/or upgrading official statements for places listed prior to 1991. The above data was mainly provided by the nominator and has not yet been revised by the Commission.) |
