Constitution of the Damned is a touring project setting up scenarios to activate coded and rules of self organisation, here taking the form of a
poster intervention and time based manifesto.

It all started as a research project. Or rather a compulsive and at times erratic search for constitutions and manifestos of self-organisation -
an unwieldy archive commissioned by Tranzit for Manifesta 8.
Constitution of the Damned is an attempt to return to this material and give space
to the agency and restless movement of the assembled ordering systems and alternative models of collective life.
For the Wysing chapter of the project, Fay Nicolson and Oliver Smith developed a poster series (mis)appropriating the manifestos and codes of
conduct that foreground
Constitution of the Damned, co-opting the language of propaganda, branding and advertisement. Throughout the day, a time
based manifesto was also performed at various sites around the festival.
