POTD: 'Emmerdale's Amy gives birth
Emmerdale's troubled teen Amy Wyatt endures a frightening experience as she gives birth all alone in tonight's hour-long episode of the soap.
Amy remains at the cemetery this evening as she still doesn't want anyone to know about the baby. Terrified over her labour pains, Amy tries to phone the midwife but when her call goes through to voicemail, she realises that she's all on her own.
Later, as the baby arrives, Amy is horrified as he doesn't seem to be breathing. Struggling to cope, she leaves her baby in a phone box thinking that he is dead - but it's not long before Hazel (Pauline Quirke) finds him...
Chelsea Halfpenny, who plays Amy, recently told Digital Spy: "Amy's main aim is to get the baby somewhere warm, because she fears she might have killed him because it's so cold. He doesn't seem to be breathing.
"She goes to take the baby to the B&B, but then she sees Hazel and Bob come out of the shop, so she gets a fright and jumps behind the telephone box. After that, she takes a look at the baby one last time and thinks he's dead, so she places him in the telephone box and walks away."
When news spreads about the baby and it becomes clear that he's still alive, how will Amy react and will she want to keep him?
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV1.
