Zoë Lister quits 'Hollyoaks'
Hollyoaks actress Zoë Lister will quit her role in the soap after almost three years, Digital Spy can confirm.
The 27-year-old, who plays student Zoe Carpenter in the Channel 4 serial, will bow out on screen in a dramatic storyline towards the end of the year.
Speaking of her decision, she told The PA: "It's scary but also very, very exciting. I think three years in a soap is enough to do and you get to a point where you either make a decision that this is what you do or you want to try something different."
She added: "I think that when you're an actor you don't imagine yourself in the same job for years, so I think when you get in the same job for a few years you start thinking 'hang on, what am I doing this for?'"
Last November, her screen brother Archie (Stephen Beard) arrived in the village.
Later that month, she featured in a lesbian romp scene in Hollyoaks Later with her screen pal Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley) while romancing Sarah's father Mike (Tony Hirst).
