Déda was a centre for Dance, Movement and Creativity, located in the heart of Derby.
Déda had something for everyone! We hosted 50 dance and movement classes each week for all ages and abilities and presented over 70 performances annually in our 124 seat Theatre. We had a café, free visual arts exhibitions and were part of local festivals including Format Photography Festival and Derby Book Festival. We also hosted an MA Dance and Choreography in partnership with the University of Derby and delivered projects across Derby in hard-to-reach communities, low-income areas and healthcare settings using dance to enrich people's lives. We also produced Derby Festé an annual international street arts festival.
We are an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and a registered charity (1053633). Our vision is to enrich people's lives through dance, movement and creativity.
