Generation were a R&B/soul group who were based in the Bay Area. The band members were Dann Herron (guitar, vocals), Lydia Pense (vocals), Larry Fields (guitar), Craig Parker (keyboards), Gregg Elberg (trumpet), Gregg Thompson (saxophone), John Glazier (saxophone), Rod Ellicot (bass) and Dick Sidman (drums). The group recorded some material but it is thought that no recordings were released. The group had disbanded by the middle of 1966.
Lydia Pense, Larry Fields and Rod Ellicot were subsequently founder members of Cold Blood.
Craig Parker, John Glazier and Dick Sidman became members of The Electric Company.
