ARC Bratislava Request Switch To ORECA Chassis

Slovakian squad ARC Bratislava have asked the ACO’s Selection Committee for permission to switch their Le Mans 24 Hours entry from their current Ligier JS P217 LMP2 chassis to a newly acquired “lightly used” ORECA 07.

The team, headed by Miro Konopka, are a full season FIA WEC effort but have struggled for pace and reliability thus far in 2021.

Should the request be granted it is understood that the team intends to complete the 2021 FIA WEC with the ORECA.

The car is believed to be the ex sps Performance-operated ORECA, despite being a relatively early car the chassis is understood to have raced only once, for IDEC Sport at Spa in 2019 after the team’s race car was shunted in practice (below the car being prepped by IDEC Sport).

The team will compete at Monza with the Ligier, Konopka set to share the car for the first time with his son Matej and Oliver Webb, this also the trio that is set to race at Le Mans.
