Jure Leskovec.
I got Ph.D. from
Machine Learning Department,
School of Computer
Science at
Carnegie Mellon University in September 2008
(
See the video!).
My advisor was
Christos Faloutsos.
I am now a post-doc at
Cornell working with
Jon Kleinberg. I will be joining the
Computer Science Department
at
Stanford Univesity as an assistant professor in Fall 2009.
I did my undergraduate in
Computer Science at
University
of Ljubljana,
Slovenia.
I also collaborate with the
Department of Knowledge Technologies,
Jozef Stefan Institute,
Ljubljana,
Slovenia.
My research focuses on mining and modeling large social and information networks, their evolution,
and spread of information, influence and viruses over them. Problems I investigate are motivated
by large scale data, the Web and other on-line media. I also do work on text mining, large scale
sensor placement problems, and applications of machine learning.
