Yet he has the arrogance to pretend any relevance of data. Dave Touretzky is a very wrong address for learning about an E-meter. He himself doesn't know how to use one, the people he quotes as 'experts' do not know how to use one! Most data presented by Dave Touretzky are either false, or they have no usefulness, except some drawings, and probably an address (in the USA, New Hampshire, I presume) for ordering E-meter needle-dials (Jewell Electrical Instruments, P.O. box 4038 Grenier Field, Manchester NH. Tel. 603-669-xxxx [sic from Dave's Web-page]), from which he OMITS the phonenumber! On top of that, he tries some 'Keeping Scientology Working' in order to try and stop you from building your own E-meter for 50 US $. This is the WHOLE philosophy of 'Keeping Scientology Working': DON'T understand, DON'T take responsibility, DON'T use Scientology unless you are Class XIII, fully trained, fully interned Auditor, with three Mark Super VII E-meters which have recently obtained a technical check and seal of approval and have all fully charged batteries, unless you are accompanied by a complete pack of Correction Lists, and unless you have the personal approval of L. Ron Hubbard or David Miscavige. And if you don't have all these things, PLUS a valid IAS, WISE and IHELP and OSA membership, you are NOT allowed to help anybody - CERTAINLY NOT yourself - and THAT is 'Keeping Scientology Working'. ['OSA-membership' is a joke.] Dave Touretzky does not WANT to use an E-meter and he WANTS that others do NOT use an E-meter. He WANTS that others DO NOT use the discoveries which are presented in the subject of Scientology. Dave Touretzky and the sources he quotes, like Chris Schafmeister, Martin Hunt, Chris Owen, do NOT WANT that you use these discoveries to make yourself more able and to get rid of disabilities. Do you get that? They want that you DON'T use new discoveries, they themselves DO NOT WANT to use new discoveries, and they don't know how to use these new discoveries. Yet they have the arrogance and perverted desire to "inform" you and others about the new discoveries. If I would like to learn sailing, I would of course go to somebody who likes to sail and therefore has learned and taught himself to sail, and who has a lot of experience in sailing. I would not give much attention to some old unmarried ladies who, during their whole life, have never dared to experience the water from a distance closer than 50 yards. I would find it very interesting to hear what these old ladies have to say about sailing, but I would not in any way use it on the subject of sailing. But I might use it for writing about old ladies. Dave Touretzky, Chris Schafmeister, Martin Hunt, and no doubt Tilman Hausherr are such old ladies. A sailor uses their stories - if he wants to make others afraid of sailing.
