The organization is now recognized as the Regional Agency of the National Institute of Social Defense(NISD), Government of India & Regional Resource & Training Centre on Ageing under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment , Government of India.

Received National Award in 2006 for generating and spreading knowledge in the field of Ageing
