慶應義塾における日本語教育は1950年代に端を発しています。日本語・日本文化教育センターは別科・日本語研修課程を運営するほか、学部・大学院に所属する留学生を対象に日本語教育の支援を行い、慶應義塾における日本語・日本文化の教育を総合的に推進する役割を担っています。また、本センター所属の教員が大学院文学研究科国文学専攻日本語教育学分野での研究指導および講義も担当しています。

Japanese Language Education at Keio University originated in the 1950s’.
The Center for Japanese Studies manages the Japanese Language Program, and supports Japanese language courses at Keio undergraduate and graduate schools as well as taking the role of promoting the Japanese language and culture studies at Keio University.
The instructors of Center for Japanese Studies also offer corporation in the field of Japanese language education in the Japanese Literature Major at the faculty of letters and give instruction to the research and give lectures.
