CCD is the largest coalition of national organizations working together to advocate for federal public policy that ensures the self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration, and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society, free from racism, ableism, sexism, and xenophobia, as well as LGBTQ+ based discrimination and religious intolerance.

The Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities (CCD) Education Task Force is writing to provide comments and recommend that the U.S. Department of Education (Department) rescind its proposal to remove the Significant Disproportionality data collection under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) section 618(d) and 34 CFR 300.646 and 300.647 from Section V of the Annual State Application under Part B of IDEA.

The undersigned members of the Health and Long-Term Services and Supports Taskforces of the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities (CCD), the Disability and Aging Collaborative (DAC), and allied organizations are writing to provide feedback on implementation of the new community engagement requirements enacted by the budget reconciliation act of 2025 (H.R. 1). The undersigned 355 organizations who are members of the Disability and Aging Collaborative (DAC), the Health and Long Term Services and Supports Taskforces of the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities (CCD), and allied organizations write to urge the swift passage of the Protecting Healthcare and Lowering Costs Act of 2025 to repeal all of the health care provisions in H.R. 1 and make permanent the enhanced Advanced Premium Tax Credits for purchasing marketplace health insurance plans and similar legislation to repeal the harmful cuts to Medicaid included in H.R.1.

Members of the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities advocate for a broad range of federal public policy that ensures the self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society. CCD’s public policy work is carried out by task forces. Click on the links below to get information on the activities of any individual task force or to contact co-chairs by email.

CCD also has Ad Hoc Task Forces that focus on federal policy but meet on a less frequent basis than official Task Forces and Working Groups that focus on both internal practices for CCD as a coalition and policy.
