Alternativa3D engine
Friday, October 26th, 2007Looks like PV3D my have a friend to play with. It does not look like this will be public engine as they seem to trying to make a Flash Player based MMORPG(Massivly Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) with it. But it looks very good.

Adobe London Poker Tournament
Friday, October 19th, 2007The Adobe sponsored London Poker Tournament is now open for registration
(www.pokercoder.com). The event is completely FREE and will take place on
the 1st November at 7pm at the Grosvenor Victoria casino in Warren Street.
Adobe are providing the food, drink and prizes. This event is open only to
those who use Adobe products professionally and places are strictly
limited, so register asap. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before as
the casino are laying on training for 20-30 minutes from the dealers at
your table. Don’t worry, there will be lots of beginners. For those of you
who already play and want to improve your game, Andy Hood will be running
a some slightly more advanced training during the same training time and
you can ask him for advise and tips. Check out the site and if you have

Cross Platform 3D Web Plugin
Thursday, October 18th, 2007I don’t often see a web plug-in that impresses me, but this is off the chart. Its got dynamic lighting, textures, networking and every thing else you would expect to find in a games engine. Only its primarily a web plug-in. They seem to have an interest in supporting the Indie games movement so be careful GarageGames.
This is another perfect example of how with greater bandwidth and power applications and games can be just as robust online as offline. Surly this is just one more step towards blurring the lines between online and offline. Like any 3D application/Game there are minimum hardware requirements. It is strange to have a plug-in that obviously wont work on every computer but if you look at it as a game there are loads of games and applications that have astronomical minimum requirements. There’s that line blurring again. Well down load plug-in see what they got on the site:
