The role of the Business 7 (B7) is to consolidate the interests of the business community of the G7 countries and develop concrete and actionable recommendations. The German B7 Presidency in 2022, under the leadership of the BDI in close collaboration with the BDA and DIHK, focuses on resiliency in recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in six areas: Trade and investment policy, Climate and energy policy, Health policy and pandemic preparedness, Digital policy, Infrastructure policy and Labor and education policy. It seeks to inform the G7 on innovative new areas of cooperation moving forward, shaped by business expertise from the B7 business federations.
