Bulgaria-based Threeding , a 3D printing marketplace and file sharing website, announced it has signed a cooperation agreement with one of the largest museums in Easter Europe – the Regional Historical Museum of the Black Sea city Varna. Under the agreement, Threeding will 3D scan part of the museum exhibits and sell the digital models on its website.
"This partnership will give us an opportunity to add into our portfolio of 3D printable models new unique historical artifacts from the entire world history," said Tony Kitipov, founder of Threeding.
The cooperation agreement follows the successful cooperation between Threeding and the Regional Historical Museum of Pernik in early 2014 but in a much larger scale.
The Regional Historical Museum of Varna will collect a royalty from each sale done via Threeding. The museum will also receive free digital copies of all scanned exhibits and will use them for scientific and education projects.
