File2Part has developed a FDM 3D printer that can produce full color plastic 3D models at a cost 50% less than industry standard prices. The new Gutenberg 3D desktop 3D printer allows you to use different materials in the same part, that means 3D objects can be made as hard or soft as desired in different regions of the same printed shape. It is a plug-and-play 3D printer therefore very easy to use, and no post-processing needed.
By simply inserting the material cartridge in the printer, the polymer filament is automatically loaded into the extruder and the printer is ready for operation. Accuracy is achieved through a uniformly heated build chamber which prevents warping and curling of parts, common in other low-cost printers. Powerful motors and precision mechanisms enable fast printing speeds and consistent part quality.
Specifications:
This small-sized desktop 3D printer can be used in the office environment for producing functional 3D parts such as custom ear buds, home decor, and fashion accessories. The price is not announced.
The File2Part team is now filing for IP protection worldwide for their unique technology.
