Math.atan() Function

Math.atan() Function---compute an arc tangent

Synopsis

Math.atan(x)

Arguments

x

Any number or numeric expression.

Returns

The arc tangent, in radians, of the specified value x.

Description

Math.atan() computes and returns the arc tangent, or inverse tangent, of its argument. The return value is between -pi/2 and pi/2 radians.
