Mission: Transition – Behavioural Change key to making Healthcare more Sustainable
11 March 2025Seven percent of the Netherlands' annual greenhouse gas emissions come from the healthcare sector. These emissions cause climate change, which in turn affects our health. As a result, healthcare indirectly affects our health. This has to change. Speakers Dr Ellen Bakker (Leading Lecturer in Sustainable Employment and Sustainable Work in Healthcare at the Research Centre Innovations in Care and Bachelor of Nursing) and Johan Reijenga (Leading Lecturer and Researcher at the Research Centre Business Innovation) argue during Mission: Transition, time to rethink protocols in healthcare and drive behavioural change.

Rotterdam launches Open Urban Platform
11 March 2025On Wednesday 15 January, the Open Urban Platform (OUP), an initiative of the municipality of Rotterdam, went live. This platform brings together all Rotterdam's data in one central location so that everyone can use, add to and share this information. The platform is accessible to all residents, businesses and organisations in Rotterdam and provides a solid foundation for new applications, services, information and participation.

Erik Boels new member Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences Executive Board
04 March 2025The Supervisory Board of the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences appoints Erik Boels as a new member of the Executive Board starting 15 June 2025. "Based on his experience, Erik Boels has an excellent understanding of the current challenges in higher education and research. And he understands the important contribution of operations", says Anja Oskamp, Chair of the Supervisory Board.
