Turkey high-speed train derails

A high-speed train has been derailed in western Turkey, according to news reports. There were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths.

Turkish media say three carriages and the train's engine were jolted from the rails as it tried to change tracks near the city of Eskisehir.

The train was reported to be travelling to Eskisehir from the capital, Ankara.

There has been a series of rail accidents over recent months, including one in August which killed five people.

The accident happened some 220 km (135 miles) west of Ankara, according to state-run news agency, Anatolia.

Images published on Turkish news websites showed several of the train's carriages separated from the tracks and passengers walking alongside the railway lines to safety.
