A problem that comes up for anyone that works on systems which consume web resources is the problem of url canonicalization. I'm sure many of you have run into situations like this. One example is LiveJournal, where each blog is available at http://username.livejournal.com/ http://livejournal.com/~username/ http://livejournal.com/users/username/ Perhaps there is a case for using a microformat for declaring one of these as canonical. It doesn't seem to me that rel="canonical" or rel="self" will cover this. Ideas? -ryan -- Ryan King ryan at technorati.com
