Si Ying Lee and Jeongwan Haah awarded 2025 Breakthrough Prize awards
Lee, Szego Assistant Professor, has won the Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontier Prize. Haah, Associate Professor of Physics and, by courtesy, of Mathematics, has won the 2025 New Horizons in Physics Prize.
Daniel Litt Receives Cathleen Synge Morawetz Prize
Daniel Litt has been awarded the Cathleen Synge Morawetz Prize by the Canadian Mathematical Society for his contributions in algebra, number theory, and algebraic geometry.
Putnam Competition Results 2024
Stanford’s Putnam Team has placed 3rd in the 2024 Putnam competition. This is the best result in Stanford’s history, tied with its performances in 2013, 2019 and 2022
Stanford Math Minor, Francesca Fernandes, Named 2025 Rhodes Scholar
Fernandes will be pursuing a master's degree in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford in England.
