Hi,
I have a like new Yaesu VX8R quad-band HT. When I bought it I ended up
buying way more radio than I needed as I thought I might want to use the
Bluetooth and/or listen to the AM broadcast band while walking etc. I
also thought that it'd be neat to be able to access either the 220, 6M
or 440 machines. However, I've found that I really only use one 2M
repeater in the area and the other features of the radio are being wasted.
*****NOTE: I made this offer on the VX8R mail list and the only offers
I received were for very old radios having histories of known serious
problems. I DO NOT want to swap this radio for "old cast-offs", but
like I said, RECENT or CURRENT production radios only. It is worth more
than that****
What I have to trade (NEW cost well OVER 500.00 total):
1. The VX8R HT, like new (no scratches etc). Comes with the box,
manual and all factory supplied accessories like the 6M antenna tip,
charger, the little bluetooth connector (no I never bought the
bluetooth), the replacement covers for the bluetooth etc.
2. The Yaesu drop-in charger accessory CD-41. . .
3. Batteries America 2000mAh battery (equivalent of the FNB102Li) along
with the Yaesu Stock battery. YES, you get TWO batteries with the radio!
4. The RT Systems Computer programming software AND the programming
cable. This is legal software as I'll have no further use for it after
I trade the VX8R, and I'll remove it from my computers!
WHAT I WANT:
Trade straight across for two 2M radios, one mobile and one 5 Watt HT.
Any of the 'big three' (Yaesu, Icom or Kenwood, NO ALINCOS). Radios
must be recent or current models, like new condition, have PL, hand mic
and mounting bracket (for the mobile), GOOD battery and charger (for the
HT), owners manuals and so forth. BOTH must work correctly with no
'issues' or modifications.
Each person will handle the packing, shipping cost and insurance for the
equipment they're swapping.
