[Yaesu] PROBLEMS WITH FT-102

 Having a problem with my ft-102, on start up the rig is deft, hit the mox button a copula of times and all is well,normal receive and receive with the pre amp on. This lasts then for hours. Iam thinking relay? but which one. also the rig tunes up fine .about 140 watts, the pre selector works as it should in the tune up process. In receive the pre selector has almost NO effect on the received signal,nothing like the big effect the pre selector has on my Drake B-line. 
 Anyone have any suggestions as to where to start? the 102 is new to me .
