[Yaesu] FT-767 power problem

I just received an FT-767GX that I bought off ebay. When it arrived I 
connected that mike, power cord, and the HF and 2 meter antennas. Then I 
pushed the power button and it lit up. Within a second or so it went dark 
again and I cannot get it to light up again. I believe I can hear the 
xformer hum when the power button is in but nothing else! I checked the fuse 
and it's good. Am I missing something! It came with a manual on CD but I 
haven't found anything there to help me!
