>>Gang,
I used to work for a copier company. Before that, bench service radio
and TV. Both accumulated over 25 years experience. The norm for parts is
double the price. This helps to recover ship costs and some profit.
Some companies charge 3 X list price. Yes, servicing fees are expensive
but people should not go around bad mouthing service without knowing how
it runs. Look at the automotive industry for example. Average costs 5, 6
hundred dollars to repair a car.
Now if the service was unsatisfactory such as incorrect repairs .....
complain to them. Not on the reflector.
Another example I have seen:
It is funny how customers complain about pennies but accept the
thousands, the medical profession bills them.
Complain about the oil companies, not electronic servicing, whom are
trying to make a living.
Peace.
