[Yaesu] Want more out of FT897 color display

I am looking for mods to improve the choices available in the FT-897D color
display.
32 colors sounds great, but only a few of these colors are easy on the eye
or else are paired up with
eyestrain-inducing colors that further reduce the choices available.
In programming the ARTS, BAND, MEMGRP, MODE, MTR or VFO display color (Menu
Mode 041),
you have only two forced choices of color, and some of those are hard to
see.
I would like to have more choices available.
A few other questions-
Can the band and frequency data which determines color be changed to other
colors and other band limits?
Can the memory group colors be changed other than #1 and #2?
Can the memory groups be changed to take more than twenty entries per group?
