[Yaesu] RE: FT-8800 program

I'm thinking of buying this radio [FT-8800R]. I hear you need a program to 
put the 2m/70cm freq.'s. Which leads me to ask how do you connect this rig 
to your computer? It comes with ysk-8900 separation kit [what ever that is]. 
Is this what you use to connect the radio to your computer? Just wondering.
