[Yaesu] G-800S Rotor Question...

I got a G-800S rotor on the bench and a downloaded copy of the manual, but now I'm confused with the bench check procedure. First of all my controller doesn't have the adjustment mode switch or a overlap indicator adjustment on the back, I'm assuming older versus newer revision?
When I go fully clockwise and get back to North, up heading on the controller, the overlap indicator comes on before I reach north, and the manual says it should come on after reaching that limit. But since there isn't a overlap adjustment on the back how do you change it?
If nothing else I can live it, just curious if anyone knows what's up with this.
