The problem is apparently the synthesizer. I put in a 1000 uv
signal from my HP-606 and there were spurs all around the main
signal. Same thing at 100 uv! When the bands are open with many
strong signals, there is a host of bleeps, blurps and spurs.
Looks like I borrowed a defective rig as others say their 990
is fine. Just my luck!
