[Yaesu] FT 1500 repair

Do you guys know anyone who is a really good repairman that likes a challenge? I sent in an FT 1500 for repair direct to Yaesu. They said it had water damage of all things and couldn't be repaired. Somehow I am dubious. I think I spilled some water around the radio but can't imagine there being that much. I live in E. TN. and would really like to have this radio repaired as it was my favorite 2 meter rig. Barring repair do any of you have a pristine one for sell at a reasonable price? I would maybe go as high as 135 dollars for one in excellent condition if I can't get mine repaired.
