[Yaesu] FL-2000b

I am having some trouble taming a friends FL2000b. Would appreciate 
hearing from those with experience working on them.
I have done the bias circuit mod ala Svetlana reflector, replaced the 
grid resistors (they were reading 2+meg rather than 33ohm) and even 
tried the nichrome suppressers, but still when drive gets beyond 10 
watts or so, occasionally the plate current will go full scale and the 
amp must be shut down. The tubes are a new set of taylor 572b's
Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
