What do you mean not straight? Is it bent or warped? If so, straightening it may damage the markings on it, I would think. Would be pretty difficult to hammer it out or use ordinary tools such as pliers. If there is a machine shop in your area they may can do it for you and wouldn't cost you much at all. That's what I would do if mine were messed up - take it to a machine shop.
