Hi Ron....
You don't indicate which model of 757 you are getting, the GX or the
GXII. I've had both of these radios. The GX model was the first and came out
in the mid-80's, whereas the GXII was from the late 80's, early 90's.
Accessories for these units were:
MH-1B8 Hand-held microphone
MD-1B8 Desk-top microphone
FC-757AT Auto Antenna Tuner
FL-7000 500W Solid State Linear Amplifier
FAS-1-4R Remote Antenna Selector (used with the FC-757AT or FL-7000)
FP-757HD Heavy Duty Power Supply (with built-in speaker)
FP-700 Standard Power Supply
FIF-65 Interface Unit for Apple II
FIF-232C Interface Unit for IEE 232C bus ( pc)
The last 2 items are for CAT interfacing with a computer, but this
function was very limited with the FT-757GX. It worked very well with the
FT-757GXII model radio.
I had lots of fun with these radios, especially the GXII model, until I
sold it earlier this year. They are good solid radios and not too difficult
to work on should the need arise.
Hope this answers some of you concerns.
Cheers....

> I am purchasing a FT757 and haven't really been able to find out for what
period that this unit was manufactured, wondering if anyone can clue me in
on this. Also what associated units ei: speaker, mics etc. that went along
with this rig.
> Thanks for any info to come along.
