[Yaesu] VX5R on the way

I ordered a used VX5R today, finding a price that was
too good to pass up. Last night I went through the
eham.net reviews of the VX5R, and found that they were
the typical Yaesu review. 2/3 of the people loved it,
and 1/3 hated it. Pretty much like the FT100D and the
VX7R. Anyway, several reviewers stated that the HT
gets really hot when running at 5 watts. is this
still a problem. I will not be using the DC cord,only
running off of the battery pack, but may have to go to
high power at times to get into the local repeater
good enough. Hoping the 2 watt setting will do it,
though. I don't know the serial number of the unit
which I have bought, but am interested in others
experiences with the case getting hot, or anything
else I should know about the VX5R. 
Looks like it will be a fun little HT, and am glad
that it has 6 meters included. That is one of the
things that kept me from going to the local Radio
Shack and getting the HTX420. That and the wideband
receive.
