Hello Rich,
I do a lot of digital modes on my Mark V and 756ProII.
When PSK31 looks interesting to you, I advise you to use a soundblaster card
(or such audio card). And use a good piece of software; there are many you
will find on the internet. Rigblaster or other interface is ok. For such
configuration you may use your microphone connector.
Just choose the cheapest solution you'll find! The intelligence is in the
soundblaster card in combination with the software. Just start with
something simple and low-cost! When you like it and when you have more
experience, you will easily find your way to other products.
You will really like it! You are able to make very nice connections with
stations all over the world, even under bad conditions and with very low
signalstrengths.
Please don't forget to read the manual and use the very good menu of the
Mark V for PSK 31.
Enjoy it and 73!
